This piece gets better the more you look at it. The top of the specimen hosts the most gemmy tiny yellow adamites and as they increase in size and quantity they become cuprian. The blue and yellow together along with the thousands of light reflecting faces make this high on the aesthetics scale. Much better in hand.

Manganoan Adamite Mina Ojuela, Mapimi Durango Mexico
3.2 X 3.3 X 2.8cm
These purple adamites used to be considered as cobaltoan, but more recent analysis shows them to be manganoan. This specimen has crystals to 2cm in a compact spray with isolated crystals interspersed in the matrix. Very good luster and presentation. Very difficult to find good ones anymore.
