Wessels Mine, Hotazel South Africa, Baryte
1 Baryte Wessels Mine, Hotazel South Africa
3.8 X 1.5 X 1cm
I am a big fan of Kalahari specimens. Barytes from the Wessels are known, and are more commonly found in matrix or with associations. This one is larger than most I have seen and has intricate cockscomb faces that alternate along the prism axis. A minor nibble along one side as pictured. From the Don Schultz collection.
