Barite on Quartz
$300.00
Availability: 1 in stock
Speaking of composition, this specimen has so many attractive elements! Quartz needles to 6cm were preferentially coated with some iron oxides and then overgrown by tiny barites, trapping the color and appearing as inclusions. With space to grow the barites formed as sceptered crystals to 2.7cm. The barites are even zoned! Ex R E Reynolds collection.
