Good brochantites from Milpillas were not that plentiful when they were discovered 15 years ago. As the azurite became depleted some good volborthites, barites, cuprites and even dioptase were found. The copper bearing ores were quickly commercially tapped out by 2015. Two distinct habits came out, one much more fibrous. This miniature has the thicker crystals up to 2cm with good definition. A real prize now that the special Mineralogical Record edition on Milpillas dropped (Volume 52 #5).
