Dioptase

The Milpillas Mine is now famous for several top quality species, especially azurite, brochantite, malachite and volborthite. Many other secondary copper minerals were present but significant specimens were few and far between. Dioptase was less common than one would think, and this piece is rich with a coating of super lustrous bundles of gemmy crystals. Minor azurite on the bottom.
