Leonhardite on Chabazite

A wonderfully rich vug full of colorless chabazites on which partially  dehydrated laumontites formed. Collected by Al Bullock in April of 1983. Ex George Loud

Locality: Sanders Quarry, Warrenton, Fauquier County, Virginia

Composition: Chabazite is a hydrated sodium and calcium aluminosilicate. Leonhardite is quite complex with a formula of |Na_1.24K_1.59Ca_2.55(H₂O)₁₄| [Al_8.18Fe³⁺_0.03Si_15.86O_{48 .}
