Quartz var Amethyst

This large crystal appears to be a floater as even the tapered termination has growth striations. Elestial features on one side where the faces do not quite meet up, leaving a hollow near the main termination that is .6cm deep. The outer portions are smoky with a central core amethystine. Cool rock!
