The North American Emerald Mine (NAEM) had its beginnings in the late 19th century. The mine has become known as the location for the largest emeralds ever found in North America. Many mineral species are found at the mine and gem quality citrine is one. This large singlercrystal boasts associations of both red rutile as well as chromium muscovite. The large front crystal face is a window to the negative impression in the back that has the form of a muscovite book. Truly impressive in size and quality.
