The Milpillas will go down as one of the most prolific and finest localities for Azurites in the world. It is now depleted, but thousands of world class specimens in many styles were found. This single crystal is an oddball. The termination, with the malachite coated matrix partially enclosed, was an attachment point and some of it is not complete, but some is. The other more blocky termination has the botoom side coated with fine white barites. The side has fibrous malachite sprays. This termination was an attachment point and is wholly incomplete. A great specimen revealing 3 species and morphologies.
Locality: Milpillas Mine, Municipio de Santa Cruz, Sonora Mexico
