Bornite with Quartz and Pyrite

$350.00

Bornite was a major ore species in the Butte District, which operated from the 1860s until the mid-70s. Very few specimens of bornite were recovered after the late 1950’s. Thus, specimens rarely are found in todays market. This lovely piece has all the aesthetics with at least 5 bornites, myriad divergent quartz crystals and  scattered pyrites.
