Calcite

An assemblage of prismatic crystals to 4cm with the slightest dusting of oxide on the terminal faces. Many of the crystals lay flat on the matrix while they reach skyward towards the center. A few faces evidence breakage near each side but you need to look for them. Ex David Ellis (with label) and ex Geoffrey Krasnov collections.

Locality: Egremont,  West Cumberland Iron Fields, Cumbria, England
