Cavansite

The heyday of Cavansite specimen mining has passed as the production of Cavansite has been reduced to less that 1% in the last 5 years due to quarrying restrictions. The Wagholi is a complex of 40 quarries, of which only 4 produced this mineral. The material first hit the market at Tucson in 1989. This specimen features three aligned radial spheres  of wedge terminated orthorhombic crystals. The color is supremely electric blue. A top shelf miniature worthy of competitive display.
