Galena

A wonderful miniature with a prominent series of modified galena cubes resting on top of a galena matrix. Micro pyrites coat some of the galena faces. There are some greenish partial crystals on the back which may help identify the specific locality. I suspect it is the New Jersey Zinc Mine in Ivanhoe as the larger piece I also listed has very similar matrix. Has a Carter Rich label just identifying it as “Virginia”.  Ex George Loud
