Microcline var Amazonite on Clevelandite

Availability: 1 in stock

George Quist has been digging on his claim for over 20 years. Being he and his wife worked for Collectors Edge they never had time to clean and prep their material, so stored it. This year, they left the edge and began prepping the tons of material. I saw them at the Crown Plaza in Denver and snatched up some goodies. This one is hard to believe. I triple checked it for repairs and asked if any of their material was repaired. They do not repair, and I find no evidence of such. The 2cm distorted crystal is so perfectly perched it is hard to believe. The reddish crust is most difficult to remove, so it is what it is. I did soak it in iron out for 5 days, to no avail.
