Quartz (sceptered)

I’ve been sitting on this specimen since I brought it back from South Africa on my trip there in 2004. At that time it was a heyday of fantastic Orange River finds. This one has deep orange to brick reddish brown coloration from Hematite inclusions. The sceptering is very well defined. There are some little nibbles at the terminations, which I took great pains to capture in the photos. I suppose it is time to let it go.
