Quartz var Herkimer

Out of stock

A startlingly good piece with three crystals to 4cm which reveal some complex growth patterns. The re-attachment was professionally done and is not at all obvious. The top crystal has internal elestial inclusions that incorporate hydrocarbons. At the top of the internal structure is a spiral “hood ornament”, with a distinctly silver appearance. I did my best to capture it. The middle crystal has a false face. It appears to have developed a trigonal face, yet that is covered completely by a “window pane”.  Quite an entertaining piece! Ex Martin Zinn collection.
