The Jan Coetzee copper mine is well known for having produced thousands of quartz specimens, many quite large. A good many of them were included with cores of chlorite. This floater specimen is comprised of distorted quartz crystals with soft milky phantoms and streaks and blebs of included chlorite. A couple of gemmy epidote crystals are tucked away in some of the crags. Very high luster. Ex C Barker collection.
