Smithsonite

Dating back to the 1956-57 time period, this specimen came to light while work was being completed on the DeWet shaft. Mining had reached around the 20th level. This smithsonite has a near perfect (very back is contacted) 2.5cm rhomb perched upon a 1.3cm rhomb and centered in the matrix. Ex Ben Chomiak collection.
