Tourmaline

A very deep raspberry colored crystal with significant etching on all sides. Claimed to have come from an old stash with no mine ID. My best guess is the Cruzeiro Mine but the etching is reminiscent of the Coronel Murta. No question it is from the Minas Gerais area. Very cool crystal. Great color! 11.9 grams, 61 carats

Composition: A boron silicate mineral compounded with elements such as aluminum, iron, magnesium, sodium, lithium, or potassium
