We sometimes refer to a specimen as “old”, as if it formed many eons ago. Naturally, “old” for us dealers means it is close to antique in age related to when it was found. This piece was found on my birthday 22 years before my birthday, so I guess that was my pre-birthday. The antique label supplies the bonafides. The adamites are tiny, but heaped upon one another as to create an appearance of a moldy growth. The color is that perfect aqua indicating the presence of copper. The original label claims the matrix to be raw iron ore. It is quite heavy!
