Aragonite

Newer material from Afghanistan is represented by both green and blue, massive or crystalline, solid or banded aragonites and hemimorphites. This specimen is a solid minty green and comprised of columnar hexagonal prisms amassed on matrix. Some crystals rise up above the general surface area and are sixlings. What may appear as a big rub is actually an area with milky colored crystals, which may be calcite. Very pretty piece.
