Dating back to the 1956-57 time period, this specimen came to light while work was being completed on the DeWet shaft. Mining had reached around the 20th level. The Azurites predominantly came from the first oxidation zone around the 7-10 level. This specimen formed in some brescia with a 2.2cm upright complete crystal and a 2.5cm elongated crystal in the seam (not terminated on one end). Crude Cerussites accompany the Azurites.
