Azurite with Cerussite

Dating back to the 1956-57 time period, this specimen came to light while work was being completed on the DeWet shaft. Mining had reached around the 20th level. The Azurites predominantly came from the first oxidation zone around the 7-10 level. This is the best of the 40 odd Azurites I got in the Chomiak collection. A perfect 1.5cm tabular crystal with electric blue color tops a much larger crystal which terminates into the matrix. The specimen is primarily an Azurite crystal. Some crude Cerussites at the base.   Ex Ben Chomiak.
