Calcite

The North Vernon calcites have become a must have in any calcite, USA, carbonate, or mid-west collection. They are known to have vitreous luster and a particular “rounding” appearance. This piece is unique. A phantom is evident, but when a light is held to it one sees an original rhombohedron, a phantom of it and then the larger phantom.
