Calcite on Fluorite

$350.00

Availability: 1 in stock

This piece is a bit unusual in that it is comprised of hexagonal prims, not scalenohedrons as is more typical. They reach 4.5cm and many are bundled together, forming larger composit crystals. If you spend alot of time you may find a cleave, but it takes some searching! Formerly in the Joe Kielbaso collection and I purchased it in 1995 from Mark Kielbaso. The base has some blue fluorite on which it stands well on its own. A great price for a hard to find Illinois specimen with provinance!
