Calcite with Laumontite

A 4cm poker chip calcite coated with a later generation of small calcites on which a generous amount of acicular blades of laumontite formed. A newer find in Inner Mongolia. Very cool association.

Locality: Huanggangliang Mine, Chi Feng Prefecture, Inner Mongolia, China

Composition: Calcium carbonate and Hydrated calcium aluminum silicate
