Dolomite on Sphalerite with Quartz

When one thinks of the Penfield Quarry specimens it is always the fluorites that come to mind. This poor, forgotten piece has its own special attributes. Sparking sphalerites cover the matrix on which creamy saddle shaped dolomites formed, making for superb contrast. Many micro-quartz crystals also are present. An eagle eye will also note a small fluorite on the back.
