Mexico is not known for cobalt mining but in the early 1960’s specimens were mined in somewhat limited quantity from the Sara Alicia. Crystals rarely exceeded 1cm. This specimen has tufts and coatings forming between foliated shards of matrix.

Locality: Sara Alicia Mine, San Bernardo, Alamos Municipality, Sonora, Mexico
