These Grossulars are colloquially known as raspberry garnets due to their color from high manganese content. This specimen has a 3cm central crystal which is centered by Vesuvianite. There are also Vesuvianites within the matrix as well as other partial Grossulars.
Locality: Sierra de Cruces, Sierra Mojada Municipality, Coahuila, Mexico
Composition: calcium aluminum silicate and calcium aluminum silicate hydroxide
