Magnetite

$900.00

In late 1991 and early 1992 a large pocket of Sphalerite at the 2500 foot level produced several thousand cubic Magnetites specimens, most with slight modification by the tetrahexahedron.  The pocket was cleaned out a few years later and specimens are now seldom seen in the market. Matrix pieces are pretty much holy grails. Yet here we have a stunning example which came out of the New York State Museum, which I sold to Chris Amo around 2001. I got it back when I bought a good chunk of Chris collection and sold it to Mike. Here it is again, and I am so pleased to handle it once more. Ex Mike Wortham
