When I spotted this poiece I instantly knew it needed to be mine, even for a custodial period. As a calcite collector I appreciate its uniqueness. The form is a mamillary aggregation with certain Khardashian attributes. The firm round, no, wait….This piece was a near floater and the convex termination reveals the entire specimen is comprised of tiny prismatic crystals. They sparkle at every angle. The soft pink had me believing it would fluoresce orange, but examination revealed that only the area closer to the core, where it once separated from its host, fluoresces. This is an Ex David Ellis specimen, and I promise if not bought will go into my Slavic suite. It is magnificent. No damage.
