Brilliant, silver-metallic plates of native bismuth richly cover one face of this rich ore specimen from a very uncommon Zimbabwe locality – the Mistress Mine. Veinlets of native bismuth crisscross the brecciated quartz matrix on this older specimen from a district that produced gold and rare bismuth tellurium minerals. Additional rare minerals are probably in these veins. This specimen is pictured in Mindat, posted by Arkenstone who sold it on auction to Billie Gotherman. It is formerly from the J.P. Glidden collection.
