These specimens came out in the late 1990’s and were first identified as Poldervaartite. Further analyzation efforts led to them being re-named as Olmiite. The first finds were this sandy tan color. Later finds were redder, some being near gemmy red. Finding a specimen of the early finds in the market is limited to de-acquisitions. This one came from the estate of Kenny Gay who noted he purchased it from Chris Wright (Wrights Rock Shop) in 2002 for $250. It is a nearly perfect sphere and undamaged.
