Prior to the Eagle Mine closing in 1984 a great number of Pyrite plates, often accompanied by Marmatite were found. Most had pyritohedral form. Simple cubes were found in the late 1970’s-early 1980’sat the 20-28 orebody. This specimen has great depth and isolation as the matrix is a complete druise of tiny cubic crystals on which a later deposition added striated modified cubes that stand out from the matrix. Really pretty piece. Ex Mike Wortham
