The Barger Quarry is well known for the trisooctahedral pyrites that often have a degree of iridescence to them. Finding one perfectly set in matrix and complete all around is no longer an easy task. This piece has a larger central crystal with two smaller interpenetrate sister crystals. Ex D Allen Penick. Acquired by George Loud in 1993.
