In 2007 Bob Buckmoyer discovered a single boulder while working at the dump. His friend, Skip Colflesh collected a handful of good larger specimens. This is the only known find of Ruizite from   Pennsylvania. It is an extremely rare mineral, first found at the Christmas Mine in Arizona and is only known to occur elsewhere in the Manganese Fields of the Kalahari.
