The Dunton Gem Quarry produced its first crystals in 1927. It was the second mine to produce rose quartz crystals in the world. Some fine tourmalines have come from there, and this specimen hints at the depth of color thay could attain. These sub-parallel growth thin crystals exhibit a near indigo blue. Although none are terminated it is a great reference piece. Label notes the specimen was found in 1961.
