Stilbite and Calcite on Epidote

This is a pictured specimen, having been published in Rocks and Minerals volume 98 Issue 2, “The trap rock quarries of Northern Virginia”. It is a wonderful little specimen with a matrix of glistening epidotes on which delicate stilbite blades and a rosette of calcite are featured. Collected by Buck Keller in 1989.  Ex Fred Parker and George Loud.
