Calcite var Manganoan

From a single pocket at the Yaogangxian Mine comes this delicate blossom of Calcite. This find produced the most distinct rose-like specimens of pink tinged Calcite groups anyone has ever seen and this piece is from that distinctive pocket. Scores of thinly bladed, hexagonal Calcite crystals form concentric, ring-like aggregates from the outside in to produce this spectacular piece. These whitish Calcites are translucent at the edges and have the faintest pink tint. Highly reactive (orange) to LW.
