Wulfenite and Calcite

This old timer comes out of the California Academy of Science collection having been donated by A. Court. Very small opaque calcite rhombohedrons clustered in spherical mounds in a daisy chain fashion on a wulfenite matrix eith sharp butterscotch crystals scattered about.

Locality: Erupcion Mine, Sierra de Los Lamentos, Mun de Ahumada, Chihuahua, Mexico

Composition: Calcium carbonate with lead molybdate
